1. What we collect

Parents: name, phone, email, child’s class and subjects, area and map location, and booking details. Teachers: name, contact details, TSC number, ID number, ID copies, passport photo, location and teaching details.

2. Why we collect it

To match families with teachers, verify teachers, process M-Pesa payments, send SMS and email updates, keep everyone safe, and improve our service.

3. Who sees it

Parents see a teacher’s photo, first name, rates and profile. Phone numbers are shared only after payment. ID documents are only seen by our team. We share data with service providers such as Safaricom (M-Pesa), our SMS provider and Google (Meet) only as needed.

4. Your rights

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, you can ask to see, correct or delete your data. Contact hello@etuition.co.ke.

5. Security

Passwords are encrypted, ID documents are stored outside the public website, and access is limited to our team.

6. Children

Accounts are held by parents. We only collect the child information needed to match a teacher.
